Beautiful Motion

I made a video to test out my DIY iPhone 4 Stabilizer and to test some of the iPhone 4′s capabilities, namely the depth of field. I really love the iPhone 4 the images it produces are amazing. But I still need to tweak some things on my Stabilizer, and I need to practice some more on how to move my body, because I think that’ll help the smoothness of the movement. I’ve also added some pictures of the Stabilizer after the break. ( I did not color correct this video, the colors are straight from the iPhone 4 )

iPhone 4 in the house !

So today is an amazing day here in the Netherlands, the iPhone 4 was finally released over here, and I, lucky as I am was able to get this extraordinary phone as one of the firsts in the country. Now this is just a small post to keep you up to date. From now on I’ll be taking notes as I use this amazing phone to eventually write a review. There is one thing I’d like to spoil ahead of that review, though, the antennagate is nowhere to be found on my unit. I don’t know if this is because of this being a new batch of iPhones or that it has to do with the media exaggerating the problem. So stay tuned for the review because I’ll be talking about actually using the phone like any normal person would, hopefully this’ll help people decide wether the iPhone is something for them. So please stay tuned for some awesome coverage!

Harmony

A few days ago I went out for a walk with my dad and my brother. It was a beautiful day, the weather was nice and everything felt so quiet. I primarily went out to test my DIY SteadyCam and to check out some cool places for a short movie I’m working on, but while testing out the SteadyCam I felt like creating a short movie. I called it Harmony, because of the way I felt that day.

Everything was shot with the Kodak Zi8 on my DIY SteadyCam, the music is from Pro Scores.

Inception: Review

Christopher Nolan, a great director of many great films has created yet another master piece. His movies are not only extremely entertaining, they contain certain ideas that are worked out really well. Inception is an amazing movie, and makes you think. A movie that makes people start conversations and debates, it does what a movie needs to do, it touches you, not necessarily in an emotional way, well at least that’s what happened to me and what I picked up from the people that left the theater after seeing this great movie.

iPhone 4 release date for the Netherlands: July 30th!

Today Apple held a press conference in which they talked about the iPhone 4. They spoke about the infamous death grip, and how they are going to fix it. Their data showed that the problem wasn’t as big as the media made it look. The solution they gave their customers is to give all of them free cases, until September 30th. At that date they’ll re-evaluate the problem and decide if they are going to keep on giving them away or provide a new and better solution.

Apple also announced that the white iPhone 4′s should be shipping at the end of July. And they finally announced when the iPhone 4 is getting to the Netherlands! The second batch of countries to receive the iPhone 4 will receive it on July 30th. I am really excited and can’t wait, and I think I’m not the only one here in the Netherlands.
