5 Seconds of Motion

While I was surfing the web for tutorials I came by this blog called Greyscalegorilla. He has a few amazing tutorials on Cinema 4D and I learned a lot. He also has this project going on where he lets his viewers make 5 second animations. After a certain deadline he then watches the videos and picks the best. In the meantime you get a lot of exposure and you also gain experience and footage for your portfolio. Check some of the videos out at this link. I took the time and made one myself, mine was made for the latest theme called Self-Portrait. You can check my video out after the break or in my portfolio.

I came across these amazing wallpapers for Darksiders. It was done in a collaberation between THQ and GameKings, the latter being one of the best dutch website for your gaming needs. Check out the wallpapers after the break. They are epic.

I was browsing Deviantart and I came across lots and lots of awesome artists. But one of them in particular I liked very much. They are Studio Qube(DeviantArt Page), and from what I know they are two very talented brothers who share the interest of graphic design and art. The way the colors work together and the softness of they’re work. They are able to put so much emotion into they’re work, I just needed to let others know about them. I was practicing drawing clouds and I was trying to get the same effect as in one of they’re drawings. You can see what I’ve been able to do after the break.

Pixel Art

We are having a project on school where we have to make games with GameMaker. I needed to search for some sprites for my game, and it really inspired me to start pixel art. I began searching for tutorials and looking at art to get even more inspired. The tutorials didn’t really help, because I was just reading them and some things you need to learn by doing it. Trial and error that was the method I chose. Last night I created my first “art piece” and this method proved to work.
I’ve put the picture below tell me what you think about it, I need the feedback.
